Zach Bryan Shares the First Look at His and Samantha Leonard's Wedding: 'Tougher Than the Rest'

Zach Bryanis officially married. The country star confirmed that he and Samantha Leonard tied the knot, after a videocirculatedof the couple getting into a car decorated with "Just Married" flags on the back on Wednesday, Dec. 31.

Bryan, 29, shared the first official look at his wedding, including aphotoof him and the bride. In the photo, posted to Instagram on Wednesday, Dec. 31, Bryan is seen holding Leonard, 28, as she wears a strapless white gown with a feather-trimmed hem.

"Tougher than the rest," Bryan captioned the post, referencing Bruce Springsteen's love song with the same name, hailing from the Boss' 1987 albumTunnel of Love.

Bryan's post also included a video from the celebration where he is seen covering the track while on a stage surrounded by flowers.

Bryan and Leonard's wedding comes a day after the "Something in the Orange" performer shared a photo to Instagram of him and friends in formal wear with a caption that featured lyrics from the Black Eyed Peas hit "I Gotta Feeling."

"Tonight's the night, let's live it up/I got my money, let's spend it up (I feel)/Go out and smash it, like, 'Oh my God!'/Jump off that sofa, let's kick it off (I feel)," he captioned the post.

The couple sparked engagement rumors when Leonard was seen wearing a diamond ring on her left hand in a video where she lit a firework that Bryan posted to Instagram Stories.

Bryan and Leonard were first linked in July 2025 after Leonard posted a photo of the pair attending Spain's Running of the Bulls in anInstagram slideshow.

The couple was also seen spending time on vacation together in photos Leonard shared onInstagram, on Aug. 21. In one photo, the pair was seen embracing as they held a fishing rod while on a boat.

"Spanish eyes," Bryan wrote under her post.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter was previously married to Rose Madden from 2020 to 2021, and was in relationships withDeb Peiferfrom 2022 to 2023,BFFspodcast hostBrianna 'Chickenfry' LaPagliafrom 2023 to 2024, and ex-girlfriendHannah Duncanfor a few months in early 2025.

In November 2024, LaPagliaaccused the musician of emotional abuseand alleged that he offered her $12 million and a house to not talk about their relationship.

"You made the women before me believe that they had no other choice than to take money from you, sign their experiences away, sign what they went through away," LaPaglia claimed on theBFFs Podcast. "You get to go skip off and sing your little f------ songs on stage like you're a good dude ... Sorry, I'm not them."

Although Bryan has not commented publicly on the allegations, he subtly referenced his ex in a recent video, sharing a clip to his Instagram Stories that featured him setting fire to a flag for Barstool Sports — the media company that hosts LaPaglia's podcast.

Leonard, meanwhile, has been private about her dating and work life. In her Instagram profile, she writes that she splits her time between Newport Beach in California and New York City, and has worked as an influencer.

Viral '6-7' tops 2025 list of overused words and phrases

Respondents to an annual Michigan college survey of overused and misused words and phrases say "6-7" is "cooked" and should come to a massive full-stop heading into the new year.

Those are among the top 10 words on the 50th annual "Banished Words List," released Thursday by Lake Superior State University. The tongue-in-cheek roundup of overused slang started in 1976 as a New Year's Eve party idea, and is affectionately called the list of "Queen's English for Mis-use, Over-use and General Uselessness."

Around 1,400 submissions came from all 50 states and a number of countries outside the U.S., including Uzbekistan, Brazil and Japan, according to Lake Superior State.

Also in the top 10 are "demure," "incentivize," "perfect," "gift/gifted," "my bad" and "reach out." "My bad" and "reach out" also made the list decades ago — in 1998 and 1994, respectively.

"The list definitely represents the fad and vernacular trends of the younger generation," said David Travis, Lake Superior State University president. "Social media allows a greater opportunity to misunderstand or misuse words. We're using terms that are shared through texting, primarily, or through posting with no body language or tone context. It's very easy to misunderstand these words."

Few phrases in 2025befuddled parents, teachers and others over the age of, say 40, more than "6-7." Dictionary.com even picked it as their2025 word of the year, while other dictionaries chosewords like "slop"and "rage bait."

But what does "6-7" actually mean? It exploded over the summer, especially among Gen Z, and is considered by many to be nonsensical in meaning — an inside joke driven by social media.

"Don't worry, because we're all still trying to figure out exactly what it means," the dictionary's editors wrote.

Each number can be spoken aloud as "six, seven." They even can be combined as the number 67; atcollege basketball games, some fans explode when a team reaches that point total.

The placement of "6-7" at the top of the banished list puts it in good company. In 2019, thecenturies-old Latin phrase "quid pro quo"was the top requested phrase to ban from popular use. In 2017, "fake news" got the most votes.

Alana Bobbitt, a 19-year-old sophomore at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, is unapologetic about using "6-7."

"I find joy in it," Bobbitt said. "It's a little bit silly, and even though I don't understand what it means, it's fun to use."

Jalen Brezzell says a small group of his friends use "6-7" and that it comes up a couple of times each week. But he won't utter it.

"Never. I don't really get the joke," said Brezzell, a 19-year-old sophomore at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. "I don't see what's funny about it."

But banning it, even in jest, might be a bit of a stretch, he said, adding that he does use other words and phrases on the list.

"I've always used the word 'cooked,'" Brezzell said. "I just think it got popular on the internet over this past year. It's saying, like, 'give it up, it's over.'"

Some of the phrases do have longevity, Travis said.

"I don't think they'll ever go away, like 'at the end of the day,'" he said. "I used 'my bad' today. I feel comfortable using it. I started using it when I was young. A lot of us older people are still using it."

Travis said that while some terms on the list "will stick around in perpetuity," others will be fleeting.

"I think '6-7,' next year, will be gone," he said.

"Highlights and bleach can be damaging over time, going brunette is giving women a break from the harsh chemicals and leaving their hair rich and shiny. It's also less maintenance for those who aren't a natural blond."

Japan's prime minister has joined more than 50 of her fellow female legislators to push for more ladies' toilets in parliament, saying recent increases in women's representation have led to long queues for the bathroom.

Just two cubicles currently serve 73 female members at Tokyo's male-dominated House of Representatives, according to a petition filed by female members of parliament on December 12.

The country's first female leaderSanae Takaichi, elected last year, is among 58 lawmakers to back the request, which has garnered support from members across seven parties and independent groups, according to the opposition Constitutional Democratic Party.

"Before the main assembly session, a truly large number of female lawmakers line up in front of the women's restroom," female CDP member Yasuko Komiyama said.

Japan is a culturally conservative country, where both politics and workplaces have long been dominated by older men. It also maintained its low position on the World Economic Forum's latest Global Gender Gap Index, ranking 118th out of 148 countries.

Last year saw the historic election of Takaichi, and a rise in female lawmakers to 73. Women still hold just under 16 percent of seats, in the House of Representatives, the lower house of the National Diet, according toIPU Parline.

The undersupply of toilets is "a critical issue that could potentially impact the conduct of proceedings and the performance of duties," the cross-party petition read.

In a Facebook post, Komiyama said the issue impacts not only female lawmakers, but also female staff and a growing number of women journalists.

Female opposition MP Tomoe Ishii added in anInstagrampost that the shortage has "long been an issue."

"There is a prevailing reluctance to raise the issue of adding more women's restrooms in workplaces and schools within society," she added.

The National Diet building, in Tokyo, predates women's suffrage in the country.

Completed in 1936, it stood for almost a decade before women gained the right to vote in 1945, followed by the election of the first female MP a year later.

CRANS-MONTANA, Switzerland (AP) — A fire at a bar in the Swiss Alps has left people dead and injured during New Year's celebrations, police said early Thursday.

Multiple people were killed in the blaze and many others were injured in the Alpine ski resort municipality of Crans-Montana, Switzerland, police said.

"The fire started around 1:30 a.m. this morning in a bar called 'Le Constellation,'" police spokesperson Gaëtan Lathion said. "More than a hundred people were in the building, and we are seeing many injured and many dead."

Investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire, police said.

"We're just at the beginning of our investigation, but this is an internationally renown ski resort with lots of tourists," Lathion said.

A reception center and helpline have been established for impacted families, Lathion said.

A news conference was scheduled by police for 10 a.m. in Crans-Montana. The community is in the heart of the Swiss Alps, just 40 kilometers (25 miles) north of the Matterhorn.

Several people have been killed after an explosion at a bar in a luxury Swiss ski resort town on New Year's Day.

More than 100 people were inside a bar called Le Constellation in Crans Montana, which is popular with British tourists, when a blast caused a fire at around 1.30am on Thursday, police said.

A doctor in the Swiss air ambulance and rescue service told the national broadcaster RTS that hospitals were "overwhelmed" with burn victims.

A no-fly zone has been imposed over the town and the area has been completely closed off as helicopters and air ambulances rescue victims.

Images published by Swiss media showed a building in flames.

Swiss outlet Blick said that pyrotechnics may have been involved, citing "unconfirmed reports".

Crans Montana is a fashionable ski resort in the Valais canton, home to around 87 miles of trails. It is set to host the FIS World Cup skiing event at the end of January.

Gaetan Lathion, a police spokesman, said: "The fire started around 1.30am this morning in a bar called Le Constellation. More than a hundred people were in the building, and we are seeing many injured and many dead."

A reception centre and helpline have been setup for impacted families, the spokesman added.

"We're just at the beginning of our investigation, but this is a internationally renowned ski resort with lots of tourists," he said.

Police are set to hold a press conference at 9am UK time.
