After dropping Game 3 of the WNBA Finals , 97-71 , on Oct. 21 to fall into a 2-1 hole against the Atlanta Dream , Gabby Williams said the Valkyries aren't panicking yet. Instead, she shared head coach Natalie Nakase's message to the team. "Remember how long of a series this is and just how we can bounce back," she recalled.
Poor shooting and turnovers have plagued the Valkyries. Golden State conceded 22 points on 17 turnovers in Game 3, marking its second consecutive finals game with double-digit giveaways after surrendering 24 points off 19 turnovers in its Game 2 loss. The Valkyries' stout defense has also been "undisciplined," Tiffany Hayes said.
"It's very uncharacteristic of us, but we know we're going to make mistakes," said Hayes, who finished Game 3 with 14 points and three rebounds. "We all just talk together after the game and let each other know that it's a series for a reason. We can adjust, but we have to do it now and we have to stay together to do it."

WINNERS AND LOSERS: Angel Reese (again), Valkyries' turnovers key WNBA Finals Game 3
The Valkyries will look to end their two-game skid in Game 4 on Saturday, Oct. 22. They'll have to stop a red-hot Dream team that's turning in historic performances left and right. Angel Reese became the youngest player to record three straight double-doubles in the finals in Game 3, while Rhyne Howard also etched her name in the history books as the first player to record back-to-back games with five or more steals in the finals.
Now, the Dream is two wins away from their first WNBA championship in franchise history.
